Just to catch up on the past 2 days, before we head off to meet Aurora! On Sat eve, we went to the downtown shopping district, don't have the name handy, near Tiannamen Sq; all the top brand stores. Very busy, fun to walk around. Kira is just happy to walk around, pretending to be Piglet in the Hundred Acre Wood, walking with her buddy, Pooh (Tom).
On Friday, we checked at the front desk about getting directions to the Yaoshow market, to do a bit of shopping. Turns out our hotel was not accurate on our map, and we are actually just a few blocks from the huge weekend flea market, Panyuanjing (sp?) - again, don't have the name handy...but it was the best shopping market yet for the gifts you're looking for...
Here's a few snaps...first a couple from day at the Temple of Heaven; yes, intersting just people watching! Next I'll post some of the shopping...not great but will try to revisit next Sat when back in Beijing.
